I wish I could leave zero stars. I currently live here. I moved in April 2023. My first issue here was a new neighbor who moved in during the summertime and kept her two dogs in the garage. The dogs barked often, and it was very disruptive because their garage is directly under my living room. I complained to the leasing office starting in September 2023 until March 2024. By the time I complained the last time Nicole said "oh! they will be leaving soon". Soon was another month. When I first complained Alicia and Nicole both asked did, I have "evidence" as in a recording. I did not at first. After that, I made sure to record the barking. The dogs were barking at 4:00 and 5:00am and Alicia and Nicole did NOTHING about it not one time. Alicia, specifically, kept asking me "are you sure it's coming from there?" "Are you sure it is them?". I said yes. I can hear the dogs and see them when they open their garage. Still, nothing was done. I let it go. On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 5:46 PM, Alicia calls me and says that she received a call from someone complaining of noise and she said, "I wanted to ask you if you could turn your music down. I know you work from home sometimes and I just wanted to see if you could turn it down". Not one time did she ASK ME if it was me playing loud music, she requested I turn the music down and when I said it wasn't me, she asked me if I was hearing any music, and I told her "No". She simply ACCUSED ME of being the one playing the loud music and asked if I could turn it down. She had NO EVIDENCE (which she told me I needed to have when I had a noise complaint) that the music was coming from me. She only said it was a complaint in my building. At 11:58PM Saturday, November 16, 2024, the JMS courtesy office rung my doorbell. It is late and I am resting and not expecting anymore, so I did not answer. He rung it again. When I did not answer the door, the courtesy office proceeded to TRY TO OPEN MY APARTMENT DOOR! I opened my balcony door fearfully and asked who it is. Officer Sidell (not sure of his name because he refused to repeat it) said "it's the courtesy officer and your neighbor called and said you are playing loud music". I said I am not playing any music. He proceeded to ACCUSE ME of violating my lease by playing loud music. I said "you were at my door. Did you hear loud music?". The courtesy officer responded saying, "well you're not playing it now". I told him that he should not be accusing me of something when there is no proof and that I will be going to the leasing office. He responded saying, "yeah you do that, and Alicia and Michelle will laugh at you". I told him he was very unprofessional. For reference, Alicia and Michelle are both leasing agents and I believe Michelle is maybe the manager. I am not sure about Michelle's position. My first interaction with her was unpleasant as well. She was in the office when I complained about the barking and insisted that "it was impossible to know which apartment went with which garage out here". I thought was very strange. However, at this moment I feel COMPLETELY UNSAFE and AFRAID in my own home that I pay for and follow all leasing rules listed. The fact that the courtesy officer thought it was a good idea to turn my door handle to see if it was open IS ALARMING! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? I feel discriminated against and feel that this is completely racially motivated. Not one time has the leasing staff, or the courtesy officer ASKED me if I was playing music or provided proof that any noise was coming from my residence. I have been met with disrespect and accused of violating my lease twice in less than two weeks with NO PROOF. This is unacceptable and I do not recommend living here, especially if you are a minority.

I just moved here 5 weeks ago and I have only had pleasant experiences. From the ladies in the office to the maintenance workers as well. When a request is put in, its addressed right away, and there are no BS responses. Everyone is kind, open and responsive to your needs. J Marshall Square is a beautiful and well maintained place to live. Another plus? You don't hear your neighbors and your neighbors can't hear you. Its absolutely lovely.

I moved here while they were still building this place and from the moment I moved in I have never wanted to move anywhere else. Yes we have been through a few management teams, and office staff but none of it has changed the way I feel about living here. I have met so many great people through out the years and can say I know pretty much everyone. The new staff in the office are some of the nicest people and they are trying hard to live up to everyone's expectations. The maintenance is top notch. I have never had to wait for something to get repaired as long as I put in a maintenance request they are usually here immediately. I loved when we had a break in on the property that it was addressed, followed up with a community meeting on how to stay safe. Community is something that they try and convey with there clubhouse social events, and wonderful parties which are free to attend. I have never felt unsafe here because everyone watches out for each other which I have never really had at other places Ihave lived. The maintenance also comes around regularly to change filters and spray for rodents. I have never had a problem with rodents and I have lived on both sides of the property. That being said I read some of the other reviews in which was stated that there were mice in the apartments. A total lie concocted by someone who has never lived here. There will always be disgruntled people in the world with to much time on there hands. I can without a doubt tell you it's a great place to live and I recommend you come check it out. They are pet friendly and the staff are definitely animal lovers. You be the judge!

I moved in here about 7 months ago. I have to say it has been an awesome experience. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and truly have our best interests at heart. In talking with them, they are concerned, are always thinking of the residents, and strive to make things here as pleasant as possible. I looked at many other complexes before I chose to live here. I can tell you that the staff and facilities of those other places do not compare to the staff and premises here. One of the fun things here is the staff holds events for the residents, and really strive to make this place feel like home for all its residents. I would definitely recommend living here.

I LOVE my townhome here! The ceilings are high, fans in bedrooms as well as living room, and it is very open and spacious. Garage is very spacious and there is plenty of room for storage. The staff is always helpful, especially Laurie. If you have a maintenance issue it is often fixed the next day and you aren’t waiting around. Very safe place to live and walk around at night. Love it here; highly recommend it!

I have really enjoyed my time here so far! Apartment is safe, comfortable, and in good condition. Attached garage is too small to easily fit my truck, but I have trailer mirrors. A normal car or smaller truck without trailer mirrors would fit great! If I have an opportunity to sign again, I will choose a unit with a two car garage. There are train tracks nearby that you can hear depending on your side of the building, but the noise isn’t terrible and you do get used to it. For a townhome in a safe, quiet neighborhood with an attached garage, this is a great deal!
