The place is large and uncrowded and not noisy like the “other deli“ in town. Unfortunately, it is also not as good. We were greeted quickly and seated quickly. The menu is extensive with a large variety of soup, deli, food, sandwiches, wraps, salad, etc. There were multiple issues. My wife asked for a combination, corn, beef and pastrami sandwich. She did not want a triple Decker but just a normal sandwich with half &half. The waitress surprisingly told us that it wouldn’t come with lettuce and tomato. That was my first sign. We might not be in the Best deli. The sandwich was good, but it was certainly not super stuffed and see below regarding the charge. It came with a small side of potato salad That tasted like egg potato salad.

I started by asking if there was fresh decaf and the waitress said that she would make a pot. Waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for a cup of coffee that was lukewarm at best. I was never asked about a refill on the coffee and when I did ask, the coffee was colder than the first time. I had the Greek omelette which was actually very good and a large choice of things to substitute for the home fries. Everything bagel was probably good enough that I didn’t have to toast it, but I’m never that trusting. No one checked up on us to see how everything was.

When the check came, I was surprised to see that the sandwich mentioned above was $29. When we asked the waitress, she said they charged for a corn beef sandwich and then added extra pastrami to it rather than making the sandwich half-and-half and the same size. I don’t believe it. This was not a tremendously over stuffed sandwich. This was no Carnegie deli. The price was excessive to put it kindly.

Things above greatly took away from the meal and the overall experience.

Great experience! Service was wonderful. La Jefa had the Reuben with corned beef. I had a burger with grilled onions and a fried egg. The server asked how I liked it cooked, and I gratefully replied "medium with a nice char on the outside." It was perfection. We met the owner on the way out. Coming back soon for happy hour!

We went at about 2 p.m., unfortunately an hour too early for happy hour 🙁 It was not very busy, server was nice, food was tasty but a little slow to arrive, beer on tap was awesome! Large seating areas inside and out, fair pricing.

J’s Deli is a gem in the desert here! Everyone was friendly and customer service was exceptional as we were greeted warmly table side by the owner himself. In the mundane world of busy fast paced Deli’s J’s stands apart with fresh tasty fare. I got the Deli melt with pastrami, meat fell apart and melted deliciously in your mouth! My husband got the house made Beef Chilli it’s was tasty and spiced wonderfully and he also got the Tripple Decker Turkey Club with onion rings and fries. Everything was fresh and fries had a great crispy texture, not soft or greasy.

This place was so good! My daughter said they have the French dip of the desert. Food was so good and the portions are huge! Our waiter was awesome and tended to our needs. I only gave it a 4 stars because the wait was a little long, but the food was worth it. I have a family of 5 we order different items. Cheeseburger, French dip, chili & patty melt, Philly, ham & Swiss, everything was very tasty and worth trying. Prices are great for what you receive. Thank you Js for your excellent customer service.

Service was quick and friendly. Pastrami Deli Melt was quite tasty. Carrot cake was yummy, with lots of cream cheese icing between layers.

The lunch was good, but the service was poor. We waited 40 minutes for 4 sandwiches. Our waiter never checked on us and we had to ask a different waiter for help. I never leave reviews, but this really annoyed me and my family.
