I brought in a Minn Kota 80# Riptide 24v trolling motor for repair, a few months out of warrantee. The motor wouldn't run. I was told that the entire lower unit needed to be replaced at a cost of over $600. I explained that I just wanted the broken parts replaced but was told "it was no good." Since trolling motors rarely have all their parts fail at once I asked that the motor be returned to me. It was given back with the propeller, shear pin, propeller washer, nyloc nuts, and thru bolts in a loose pile. My quick connect plug was lost.

I took it home and disassembled the motor. One of the brushes was deteriorated and jammed.

All the motor needed was replacement of brushes and seals and reassembly.
J's Marine should be ashamed of themselves.

Terrible customer service. Wouldn't even take the time of day to actually check parts and availability. Save yourself the trip. Place looks like a dump, not the place you're looking for.

Y’all be very careful to check your boat after they work on it. When doing repairs, they don’t care about your properties. They scratch my brand new hydrofoil by standing on it, ripe my seat, and scratch my motor lid. How can you scratch inside the motor bad when working on it? They don’t do a good job bc still having the same problems. and the cost is so high. I don’t recommend this place.

Took my boat in to get basic wire hook up and throttle cable hook up the guys only connected the wiring harness and a few wires that were already labeled made an excuse up about the throttle cables being stuck and steering hoses having leaks. None of that was true at all guy is a joke had to pay him $600 for me to take it back home and connect everything my self he also got oil and grease all over my brand new deck! I would recommend avoid this company! Owner is very lousy and doesn’t have no pride in anything he does.

J’s Marine is a great, fair and reasonable place to service your boat needs. I would get estimates and compare. J tanks behind his service, but you do pay a fair price for services. I would recommend to boaters to check out J’s Marine.

I have taken my boat to J several times, this is a guy that does nothing but want to make you happy. He does outstanding work and goes beyond what is asked. I will continue to go to him for anything concerning my boat and recommend him highly.

This is the best place to go for boat work. Honest, reliable and FAST.....and they don't treat you any differently if you don't own a 250k wake/surf boat. We will be life time customers here!

I spent 5k and waited over a year for my boat only to take it home twist bathe key and get nothing. But basically a purse the interior was done but the boat doesn’t even run .... I didn’t rush him or anything either and told me my boat would be summer ready I hate being lied to and also hate being hustled...
